Yes, I know it’s been a long time since I posted an update. But I promise, I’ll make up for it with my posts tonight. I’ve been storing them up!
Last Tuesday, the day after Labor Day, was the first day of school for Michigan kids. We decided to make it our first day of school, too. (School for us is reading books, playing outside, building towers, finger painting, singing, that sort of thing. The girls love “school,” and it’s fun to have a routine that allows lots of educational time together). The night before our first day, we did something that we’ve been wanting to do all summer. We went camping! Ok, we didn’t go far. We actually just camped in our yard. But we had a great time using our new tent, and it was a beautiful night. We kept the tarp off since no rain was in the forecast, enabling us to look up at the trees and the stars.
Here are some fun pictures:
Are you out growing your wedding present tent? 🙂
Just as you’re getting caught up on your postings, I’m getting caught up on my readings! Thanks for sharing your camping experience. Camping in your back yard sounds like an incredible idea. Actually, Glenn had our tent set up on the deck to air it out a week or so ago, and it made me want to call up some little people to see if they wanted to come and camp out. But since we were leaving for a missions conference the next day, Glenn was able to talk some sense in me, and we let it go.
