A Trip to Midland

January 30, 2006 - By Jen

This weekend we had the opportunity to travel to Midland, Michigan.  Aaron had a Discovering Vocation Conference for Alma College, and Kayla and I were able to go along and have fun!

Kayla’s favorite part was definitely swimming!  The Valley Plaza resort has three pools, but only only one was in working order this weekend.  That was fine though.  It had dolphin fountians right in the pool, so Kayla thought that was pretty cool.  She would get so excited about swimming, saying things like, “Daddy, water, yeah!”  I borrowed a maternity bathing suit from a friend, so I had a chance to get in the water, too.

While Aaron was at the conference on Saturday, Kayla and I did a lot of coloring and played a great game of hide-and-seek in the hotel room.  The food this weekend was great, though I couldn’t taste it very well due to this sinus infection I’m trying to get over.  I have a prenatal check up tomorrow morning anyway, so I’ll probably just talk to the doctor about it then.

Time to go make French Toast for Kayla and me!
