A White Christmas

December 25, 2003 - By Aaron Kerr

It didn’t look like it was going to happen, but God came through and gave us a beautiful white Christmas in Mt. Pleasant. Jen and I went out for a nice drive together on Christmas Eve and enjoyed the falling snow. Then we woke up on Christmas to a beautiful snowy morning. Read on for a few pictures and a virtual-tour of our snow-covered street.

Our overall snowfall on Christmas Eve was probably around 3-4 inches. It made for a very beautiful Christmas morning.

We had opened our gifts to each other on Christmas Eve. I got Jen several books she wanted, a hair dryer, a label maker, some candles, and a maternity coat that she fell in love with when we saw it at Old Navy (which, by the way, has a very nice maternity selection online and in a limited number of its stores.) She got me the first two Lord of the Rings movies (extended exition) on DVD, Field of Dreams on DVD, and The World According to Mr. Rogers. Jen is also in the middle of knitting a beautiful scarf for me–although she didn’t have the chance to finish it before Christmas.

Here is our home on Christmas morning:

And a picture of our street:

Finally, I was experimenting with my digital camera a little to attempt to make a 360-degree virtual photo/tour of our snowy street. You will need Quicktime to view them.
