Have you ever been to a drive-thru espresso stand? When Jen and I have been in Washington and Oregon we’ve seen quite a few of these, but the idea didn’t seem to have really caught on in this part of the country. But a new place in town just opened that offers just that. And I’m loving it!
A Peaceful Saturday Afternoon
Having a quiet, peaceful spot where you can get away to read, think, write, and pray is a real blessing. When I’m out of the house, I have a couple favorite spots: Kaya Coffee Shop and CMU’s Park Library. They’re both a short walk/drive from our home. I chose the library this afternoon and decided to share a bit about “my spot.”
We’re Still Here
For those of you who have noticed the long drought in getting things posted on our website, yes, we are still alive. Life is very fun and rewarding right now, but pretty busy too. Following is a brief update covering the past month. And more updates, including photo galleries of some of our adventures, will be posted soon.
Lots of Snow in Mid-Michigan
After growing up in South Carolina, where a good snow was a rare treat, I (Aaron) have never gotten over loving snow. But the weather of the last few years has usually failed to deliver. But so far, this winter is different.
Visit with Shannon and Jessica
Over the break, we got to see Shannon and Jessica Nielsen a few times. Shannon was Aaron’s roommate in college, and Jess was Jen’s. They are now married and living in Dallas while Shannon attends Dallas Theological Seminary . They were home in Michigan for a couple weeks.
