Today I took Kayla for a walk in the stroller. As usual, she was chatting about all sorts of things, when all of the sudden she said, “Kayla loves Jesus.” I smiled and said, “Mommy loves Jesus, too.” Then she said, “Yeah, Kayla loves Jesus, too.” She always surprises me when she says things for the first time. This morning she asked, “Where did changing pad go?” That was the first time she’s said something in the form of a question. I love how talkative she is.
Kayla woke this morning with a little bit of a cough and runny nose. She just got over a cold a couple weeks ago, so it’s a bummer that she seems to be getting one again. However, we did pray that she wouldn’t be sick when the baby is born, so maybe this is going to be good timing. We still have 2 1/2 weeks to go, and hopefully Kayla would be well over her cold by then and feeling great. She was a little goofy at lunch today and refused to eat. So I ended up putting her down for a nap without lunch. I keep feeling guilty, but I know I tried to get her to eat. She can eat when she wakes up, so I’m going to try not to worry about it.
Hmm,,, did you try yogurt?
Hi, Aaron and Jen
I just devoured your entire website. Even though I knew most of it, it was very fun reading. We love you all!
