Longing for Snow

January 10, 2007 - By Jen

When I was a child, I loved playing in the snow.  Then, as I got older, snow wasn’t my favorite thing anymore.  You can tell I’m living like a kid again, because I can’t wait for a nice blanket of white stuff so Kayla and I can build her first snowman!  I told Aaron last night that when the snow finally comes, I’m going to stop whatever I’m doing so that I can take Kayla out to play.

Kayla has been asking questions for quite some time now, but recently she picked up the a couple new question words.  You know how most 2- and 3-year-olds ask “why?” all day long?  Kayla would ask about things, but she didn’t say “why” all the time like a lot of kids do.  Not only does she say “why” now, but she also has her own special way of asking “why?”:  “Cuz huh?”  Pretty cute.  🙂

It’s time to get a short work out in while the girls nap.  Tonight Aaron will stay with the girls for a couple hours so I can go to a Baby Church gathering (for the ladies I serve with in Baby Church).  I’m so excited to have some adult conversation!!!
