Madeline added a couple new signs to her vocabulary lately, more and milk. She still signs all done on occasion, but now that she is mostly finger feeding she never seems to be finished. (She could probably sit and eat Cheerios for an hour!) For a while she signed all done when she was finished, but she also would sometimes sign it when she wanted more or when she didn’t particularly like something. I could usually tell what she was meaning to say, but it was cute nonetheless.
In the past couple days Madeline started doing the sign for milk. She signs it when I get her from her crib after a nap (a typical feeding time). Aaron asked her the other night where Mommy was and she produced the sign for milk. At least she has that connection nailed down!

I think it’s wonderful that babies and their mothers can communicate this way. Good job Madeline!

Awww that’s cute. I think it is so awesome that you taught both babies to use sign language in order to communicate with you from such a young age. Do you recommend any books on the subject? I’d like to learn more about it too. Keep up the great work both of you! You guys are awesome parents!!!
