On Sunday Kayla and I were playing in her imaginary world again. Kayla told me that someone was at the door. I asked her who it was, and she said “Your teacher, Ms. Yvonne.” My dance teacher’s name is actually Rochelle, but in a ballerina book we have, the teacher’s name is Ms. Yvonne. I thought that was cute. Anyway, Ms. Yvonne came over for a visit, so we made her tea. Kayla had fun serving it to her in the living room. Now Ms. Yvonne visits every day. Kayla has a cute way of holding imaginary friends in her hands. She pinches her thumb and fingers together so that she can hold onto Ms. Yvonne, or Daddy, or Mommy, or Josh, or whoever the imaginary person may be.
At this moment 8 months ago I was very much in labor with Madeline! She was born at 6:18 on the morning of April 19–what a wonderful day that was! It’s hard to believe she is 8-months-old now. She’s moving all over the place with her “wounded soldier” crawl and a few real crawling steps, and she’s also pulling up to standing. What a fun little girl she is.
(Note: I actually posted this at 6:06 a.m., but the site says 7:06)
