Our “Clean” Daughter

June 21, 2006 - By Jen

Kayla recently became very particular about the cleanliness of things in our house. It’s been pretty humorous.

Kayla refuses to take a bath unless I clean our bathtub first. After I cleaned it one evening, I put her in the tub, but she would only sit on her knees. I asked her why she wouldn’t sit on her bottom, and she said, “bathtub dirty; sit on knees.” She also found a dirty spot on my floor yesterday and almost started crying until we cleaned it up. And she wanted me to clean the walls in the mudroom, too. With this new interest in things being dirty and clean, I’ve been talking a lot about dirty diapers. For some reason that’s the only thing Kayla doesn’t mind having dirty.
