The Hummingbird

September 21, 2008 - By Jen

We’ve lived in this house for over six years, and tonight I saw something I’ve never seen here before—a hummingbird.  I walked by our dining room window, and there it was hanging out in the impatiens.  The hummingbird flew away quickly, but I took a moment to thank God for sending what I like to think of as a love note.  A while later it returned, and this time Aaron, Kayla and Madeline saw it, too.

Wow that is cool. Glad that the hubby and girls got to see it too.

Other than at the San Diego Zoo where I saw about 100 in a flowing bush, I had only see 2 in my life time. Once when I was about 10 yrs. old. It was feeding on a Hollyhock plant. The 2nd time was at my Aunt Lois’s house. She had a hummingbird feeder in her back yard.

Oops! That’s suppose to be a “flowering bush”.
