Aaron worked so hard this weekend! The basement looks amazing! It is not quite finished, but he painted over half the walls and put the epoxy on the floor. We also purchased a new shelving unit that will hold our see-through storage containers. (Now I will be able to see what’s inside!) As of last night I could do laundry again, so I think I’m on load number five for the day.
The basement is so clean that it may be the cleanest room in the house! In fact, it’s so clean that the spiders don’t even want to be down there anymore. That explains why there was an enormous black spider in our dining room today! He was so huge and scary, but I didn’t want to freak out around the girls. (I don’t want them to learn to be afraid of spiders, too.) I picked up a cross-country ski boot to kill it, but the spider was actually hanging from the boot. So when I picked up the boot, the spider fell onto a black ski hat. By the time I turned the light on, the spider had found a new hiding place. Yuck. I have a hard time relaxing knowing a spider that big is on the loose!
We still need to move our stuff down to the basement, but we promised to only do that once our bins are completely organized. I will post some before & after pics of the basement soon.
