Weekly photos

Since Kayla was two weeks old, I’ve tried to take her picture each week so we can document her growth and changes. Lately, however, it’s been a bit more challenging. Yesterday Kayla wasn’t exactly in the mood to have her picture taken. If you notice the redness around her eyes, that’s because she cried when I wouldn’t let her play with the camera. She did cooperate eventually, so below is one of the pictures I took. (This is my first time inserting a photo, so I’m not exactly sure where it will appear in my story!)

We have a nice layer of fresh snow here now. It was strange not having snow for a few weeks. When we were out for walks, Kayla would point out dirty piles of snow that hadn’t quite melted. Not exactly the snow we’re used to in January! I like the fresh stuff, and maybe we’ll even get out to play in it soon.

Last night we had our friends Angela & BJ over for dinner. They were married a month ago, but we had to miss their wedding because we were in Chicago. They brought their wedding DVD and pictures, so we had fun experiencing their special day with them.

The potty chart thing I mentioned a couple days ago is working! Well, at least it’s helping. Kayla is super excited about putting stickers on it, and then she likes to count how many times she’s used the potty on a certain day. This could just be a phase, of course, and she may lose all interest in the potty chart by Friday. 🙂

Well you did manage to capture a smile. It’s cute to see the wood childrens furniture/toys in the picture.

I enjoy the website. It helps keep me in touch with your lives.

    Love,
    Mom
