Snow, snow, snow

March 2, 2006 - By Jen

Yesterday our yard looked pretty yucky with the brown grass and dirty, melting snow. Today, however, there is a beautiful, fresh blanket of white stuff to play in!

We bought Kayla a snow suit, because I had intended to make playing in the snow an almost daily activity. She has played in it a couple times, but for the most part this winter hasn’t given us enough snow to really enjoy it. Well, the snow we have today is gorgeous–a nice little treat for Aaron’s birthday tomorrow.

Other happenings around here … I’m 32 weeks pregnant now and continue to feel great. I’m totally huge, like I was with Kayla. If I had a recent picture I would post it, but taking a pregnancy photo is on my list of things to do. Tonight I will teach dance (I teach three ballet classes), so Aaron and Kayla will get to have their date night.

Kayla has decided recently that she doesn’t need to nap anymore. She really does need to nap, but she fights it most days. I give her 1 1/2 hours in her crib with a couple books, and she can sleep if she wants. If she doesn’t, however, she’s pretty tired by dinner time. She’s defintiely fighting her nap today, but since she woke at 6:30 (another thing she started doing recently!), I know she needs some rest.

Well, as Aaron and I say, Kayla is going “nutz-o” on me (screaming and crying), so I’ll sign off for now.
